Igor Silva1 StarAsked for a house key copy and a motorcycke key copy on 12/06/2021.
Owner copied the house key and informed they would need to order the motorcycle key, and that it would be in in a few weeks, and the bike key would cost 30 pounds.
When I was was about to pay, I noticed the card machine listed 37 pounds, and I questioned why was I being charged for the motorcycle key if he didn't have any in stock and didn't copy it.
In a rude tone, he said that when he orders keys, he spends his money, and that's why he charges in advance.
I then asked him what if I was unable to come back for the key after the 2 weeks, and he said that wasn't his problem.
After I insisted I would only pay for the 7 pounds of the copied house key and a few minutes of argument, I was able to pay for what I actually was dealt.
I understand the need to have some sort of guarantee from customers when a business orders something to fill a customer's need, but in no way that should be shoved down people's throats without previous agreement, and should this man have any common sense and didn't use an aggressive tone, we could have agreed on a deposit for a fraction of the order. A half decent businessman would never use the tone he did.
If you can use any key service in another area and avoid the risk of being mistreated, do so.Saturday 12th June 2021
